Five stations on three MRT lines lie within about 1.3 kilometres of Thomson Eight in a straight line, and the closest of them, Mount Pleasant, will open together with the new housing estate beside it.
Thomson Eight and the Thomson-East Coast Line
Mount Pleasant station (TE10), at 14 Denham Road, is the nearest to the site, about 0.7 kilometres away in a straight line. Built as part of the Thomson-East Coast Line, it will open in tandem with the housing developments around it, as the Ministry of Transport set out in January 2022.
That housing is now under way. HDB is building about 6,000 flats on the former Police Academy site at Mount Pleasant, and the station will serve the new estate and its neighbours, Thomson Eight among them.
Caldecott, about 0.8 kilometres away, is already open on the same line as TE9, and it is also an interchange with the Circle Line (CC17). From there the Thomson-East Coast Line runs north towards Upper Thomson and Woodlands, and south through Stevens, Orchard and the city to the east coast.
Thomson Eight and the North-South Line at Toa Payoh and Novena
Toa Payoh station (NS19), under the town centre at Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, is about 0.8 kilometres from the site. It is the busiest of the nearby options for everyday travel, with the bus interchange beside it and the HDB Hub above.
Novena (NS20), about 1.1 kilometres away on Thomson Road, sits at the heart of the Novena medical district and its malls. One stop further south, Newton links to the Downtown Line, and Orchard and the city follow. To the north, Braddell (NS18) is about 1.3 kilometres away.

All distances here are straight lines; journeys on foot follow the streets and run a little longer. The entrances and pedestrian links of Thomson Eight will be shown on the site plan, shared with registered buyers upon release.
